Julian!
Ricky!
These are my boys! If you haven't watched the show, "Trailer Park Boys", I highly recommend it!
Julian and Ricky have been with me since they were babies. This year they will be seven! Any fur you find on your art, it's from these guys! π
About Me!
For as long as I can remember, I have loved art. This love was always encouraged by my parents, family, and friends π
Many Christmases, I would give out tiny snowmen and present boxes molded from clay. I would use wire to add ribbon bows and stick arms, then drawing on other features. My favorite part is watching people's reaction to the gift that I made for them with so much love. To this day I continue to gift handmade art for those I hold closest to me.Β
From a young age, my dad saw my interest in art. He would buy me "How to Draw" books, teach me the difference between a 6B pencil or a 4H, and take us to various art museums in our area. Those are memories I'll keep with me forever.Β
Growing up, my mom did everything she could to support my dreams. She would sign me up for summer art classes, take me to pottery classes, and posted proud photos of my art on Facebook π She is, and always has been my #1 fan and the person I've always looked up to.Β
In school, I took every art class available to me. My favorite teachers were always my art teachers. Specifically, my high school teacher, she really opened the doors of creativity and showed me I can make anything. I used to avoid using color in my art due to fear of ruining my design. Now, one of my favorite things is planning out my color schemes! She helped me embrace colors and take risks. For the knowledge and experience, I am forever grateful to all my art teachers.Β
I simply couldn't ask for a more caring, supportive, and encouraging partner. He is always the first person to see my newest piece and gives me a complement about a specific part that he particularly enjoys. We agreed on two-bedroom apartments so I could have space to create. With his PC set up right next to me, I can ask him for his suggestions if I feel stuck. He often inspires me to take risks that end up with high reward. I appreciate all the ways he's supported me and my art over the years. Thank you, my love π
When asked about my "dream job", my answer would be- to make art and never work again. Creating and selling art is definitely work. But I enjoy art so much, it doesn't feel so much like a job. With the launch of this site, my goal is to achieve my dream within the next five years. I will continue to work hard and stay creative.
I'm so thankful you'll be here supporting me along the way! Just that you are taking the time to check out my site means so much to me.Β
Thank you π
